ABOUT US

Christ College is committed to living out the great commission spoken of in Matthew 28:18-20: “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

God is calling his church into a greater level of unity and cooperation. In order for unity to be accomplished, the body of Christ must cherish its diversity. It is with great joy that Christ College welcomes those of all races and nationalities. Christ College welcomes men and women who desire to grow further in Christ. A non-denominational school, we consider it a privilege to link arms with others who are pressing on towards the same prize and high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

Letter From The President

Welcome to Christ College!

We are so glad you have taken steps to explore the challenge of Christ College. This school is the fulfillment of a long-term vision. Christ College is committed to fulfilling the admonition of Paul, the apostle, “We proclaim him, admonishing and teaching everyone with all wisdom, so that we may present everyone perfect in Christ” (Colossians 1:28).

Our calling is to see every individual fully equipped to fulfill their place in the kingdom. Our goal is to prepare God’s people for ministry in every sphere. Our joy is to see spiritual sons and daughters released into God’s purpose. We believe Christ College is a valuable tool to further our commitment to the Great Commission.

We are blessed to have seasoned instructors who are true spiritual fathers and mothers in the kingdom. Those who teach are almost as significant as the material taught. Paul told Timothy, “continue in what you have learned and have become convinced of because you know those from whom you have learned it (2 Timothy 3:14). I thank God for the highly qualified staff at Christ College; and, I recommend them as teachers and examples to you.

We appreciate your interest in this vision and encourage you to join us! We hope this catalog will answer any questions you may have about Christ College. Please let us know if we can serve you in any way.

In His Kingdom,

Glenn Shaffer

President, Christ College

STATEMENT OF FAITH

  • We believe the Holy Bible, inspired by God in its entirety, infallible and inerrant in the original writings, is the supreme authority for faith and life.

  • We believe there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.

  • We believe Jesus Christ was and is the Son of God. We believe in his virgin birth, sinless life, miracles, vicarious and atoning death, bodily resurrection, in his ascension to the right hand of God the Father, and in his personal future return to this earth in power and glory.

  • We believe all have sinned, that the only means of being cleansed from sin is through faith in Jesus Christ; and through grace man is justified, not by, but unto good works.

  • We believe that regeneration by the Holy Spirit is essential for personal salvation, and that by his indwelling presence the Christian is enabled to live a godly life.

  • We believe the redemptive work of Christ on the cross provides healing for the whole man: body, soul and spirit.

  • We believe in the reality and the personality of our defeated enemy Satan.

  • We believe the fruit and the gifts of the Holy Spirit should be evidenced in every believer’s life.

  • We believe the gift ministries and functions listed in Ephesians 4:11, Romans 12:6-8, I Corinthians 12:8-10, and I Timothy 3:1-13 should be recognized and operating in the church today.

  • We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and lost, the saved to everlasting life, and the lost to everlasting condemnation.

EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES

To achieve the mission and vision of Christ College, the entire program has been assembled with the following objectives in mind:

  • Promote spiritual growth and stir passion to reach the world for Christ.

  • Assist the student in clarifying his or her personal ministry vision.

  • Provide sound Biblical education with practical life application.

  • Equip the student with ministry tools to accomplish the purposes of God in their generation.

DEGREE GRANTING STATUS

Our desire is to set ourselves up for the possibility of accreditation in the future. Accreditation is not truly the goal. It is to have a quality school with an excellent reputation. If the accreditation process or even the thought of accreditation helps us achieve that, then we will head in that direction.

ADMINISTRATION & FACULTY

II Timothy 2:2 reads, “And the things you have heard me say in the presence of many witnesses entrust to reliable people who will also be qualified to teach others.” (NIV).

At Christ College we believe that spiritual education is both taught and caught. Therefore, the instructors are people who have a rich relationship with Christ and the evidence of that relationship is seen in their lifestyles and teaching. We have carefully chosen trained men and women of great Christian character who have training and experience in ministry. The instructors have varied gift clusters and they come with a variety in ministry backgrounds as well. Stude
